Minion to Music
After following the rave scene from an early age, I was hooked. Never leaving the house without a bag of tapes. Always listening to sets from party’s like Dance Planet, Pandamonium, Dreamscape, and Helter. I was a massive fan of the likes of Stu Allan, Hype and Even a bit of Dougal. I started mixing in the mid 90’s, Mainly Hardcore and Jungle. I Got my first set of decks in 98 and started to build up my Vinyl collection, Finding that I had more Jungle/ Drum and Bass in my collection I decided that would be the root I would take. By 2001 I started to mess around with production, with a bit of help from the music open learning program. Nick Worms from MOLP taught me some of the basics and I have never looked back. I was getting bookings in and around the Bristol area, playing clubs like Lakota, Cafe Blue, and The Depot.
2003 saw the start of the Unearthed free party showcase that I co-run with Sara from Unearthed customized design. Bringing like minded ravers together for a night of Multi-Genre Mayhem.
In recent years I now co-run a record label Hevix Recordings alongside Sara from Unearthed I have also had a few releases. To see what else I have been up to check this link out unearthedpromos.com/JayUnearthed.php
